- Classification of lighting methods
There are three main aspects of factory lighting: general lighting, local lighting, and hybrid lighting.
General lighting: Also called the main lighting, generally placed in the middle of the top, providing overall illumination to space, usually according to the size of the factory.
Local lighting: According to the production needs, usually work with general lighting, where the special key lighting is required, the lamps are placed to illuminate the working point.
Hybrid lighting: generally used in large factories, with main lighting and local lighting to match each other, reducing light and dark areas and shadow areas.

2 Reasonable illumination
The illumination factors affecting visual illumination of factory lighting mainly include illumination level, brightness distribution, color appearance, light and shadow color, etc., but these factors have different effects on work efficiency, and illuminance is the biggest.
The illumination standard of general illumination of industrial buildings also has standard regulations. For the work surface where local illumination needs to be increased, the added local illumination brightness value should be selected from 1-3 times of the general illumination illumination value of the place. In addition, the specific workplace lighting standards of various types of factories should also be designed in accordance with the relevant industry regulations.

However, when high-intensity gas discharge lamps are used as general illumination, the standard value of illumination should not be lower than 50Lx in workplaces where people are often working. For general lighting in hybrid lighting, the illuminance value should be 5% to 15% of the illuminance value of the mixed illumination at this level. The illuminance should not be lower than 30Lx. However, when using high-intensity gas discharge lamps, it should not be lower than 50Lx.
- Types of lamps
Factory lamp selection is directly related to the light intensity of the working environment, and directly affects the work efficiency, so factory lamp selection is critical. The main lighting sources commonly used in factory workshop lighting are metal halide lamps, electrodeless lamps and LED lamps.
Among them, LED lighting is the most promising prospect. We usually use the factory workshop lighting fixtures as factory lights or high bay lights. Designing and selecting suitable lighting fixtures can not only save energy but also greatly improve work efficiency and comfort.
Then how to use the luminaire depends on the height of the factory building to determine the luminaire and light source to be used.

2 Should use dustproof, waterproof or led explosion-proof lights for the workshop with explosive gas or dust. The control switches should not be installed in the same place. Explosion-proof switches should be used when they need to be installed in the same place.
3 For wet indoor and outdoor places, sealed luminaire or open lamps with waterproof ports should be used.
4 Floodlights should be used in hot and dusty places.
5 For corrosive gases and particularly humid indoors, sealed luminaire shall be used. The components of the lamps shall be treated with anti-corrosion treatment, and the switchgear shall be protected.

7 In the factory where the lamp may be damaged by mechanical damage, the lamp with protective net shall be used; if there is a place for forging, air compressor or bridge crane in the vibration place, the lamp with anti-shock device shall be used.
A factory is a place for production and processing. The main purpose of industrial lighting is to increase productivity, ensure product safety and create a comfortable visual environment.
